The Monarch golf team has stood as a highly competitive squad in the Middle Atlantic Conferences for years and began a new exciting era in 2004-05 under the positive and enthusiastic approach of head coach J.P. Andrejko, who became head coach at King's after serving as an assistant coach for two seasons.

Since joining the MAC ranks in 1978, King's has a 681-514-4 record through the 2008 season and has finished among the top three teams in the conference championships on 15 occasions.  King's won the MAC title in 1980 and has been runner-up nine different years.  The Monarchs have also finished third in conference tournaments on five occasions.

The Monarchs have produced 34 players who have finished in the top 10 of the conference championships with four players earning the MAC Individual Title, including Jim Kettrick in 1996 and Leo Yerashunas in 1997.

King's also served as past host of the MAC Championships for 17 years until the 2003-04 season and instituted the first Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational, which annually brings the the top teams from District 2 of the NCAA together for an outstanding two-day event.

King's has received tremendous support over the years from the Anthracite Golf Association which has sponsored several tournaments.

The team's schedule consists primarily of tournaments and triangular and quadrangular meets.  A fall schedule, which includes several tournaments, helps the team prepare for their challenging spring slate.

In 2007, the MAC championship tournament was split into two separate conference tournaments - the Freedom and the Commonwealth conference tournaments. This split to separate conference was done when the NCAA began to sward conference championship teams automatic berths into the NCAA Division III National Tournament. King's, which competes in the Freedom Conference, now sees a greater opportunity for the team to qualify for Division III national tournament play.

King's golfers have also performed well in the classroom.  Since 1998,  a total of 28 Monarch golfers have been named to the MAC All-Academic Team.

King's home course is the Wyoming Valley Country Club, a par 72, 6,391-yard course, where the Monarchs practice in the fall and the spring seasons. The positive longstanding relationship between King's and WVCC has been a major reason the Monarchs have fielded such competitive teams over the years.
