King's College Football Club
The King's College Football Club was founded in 1991 and was originally established as
a "parent's club".
Through the leadership of numerous dedicated members, the
club has expanded to include not only parents, but also alumni, friends, and
supporters of the program. The club sells, T-shirts, sweat
shirts, hats, raffle tickets, 50-50 chances, Christmas trees, and other King's football
items during games. The club also sponsors bus trips to selected road games.
Over 200 members strong, the club hosts a picnic for the
team and family members at the annual Red and Gold Game. It donated "The Coal
Football", a concession stand, ticket booth, the large "K" logo stencil for
the 50-yard line, the fencing which surrounds the football field, and the beautiful
Burning Bushes planted behind each end zone.
At season's end, the club sponsors a lavish banquet for the team and the many supporters
of King's football where players are presented with awards and other items purchased
through the fund-raising efforts of the club. King's Football Club has proved to be a
valuable resource for the program.
