KING'S MEN DEFEAT FDU, 75-58
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's
basketball team opened up an eight-point half-time lead and was never
seriously threatened in the second half as the Monarchs posted a 75-58
victory over visiting FDU-Florham Saturday in Scandlon Gymnasium.
With the win, King's improves to 10-7 overall and 4-2 in Freedom
Conference play as the Monarchs have won eight of their last nine games.
FDU slipped to 4-12 and 1-5.
John Soboleski led a balanced King's attack with 17 points, eight
rebounds, and four blocked shots. Bob Nenstiel followed with 12
points and 10 rebounds. Thomas Moore netted 11 points with seven
rebounds while Jamie Cousart enjoyed another solid all-around game with
10 points, nine rebounds, and six assists.
FDU was led by Pierre Schmitt with 19 points and nine rebounds while
James McClendon followed with with 15 points and 16 rebounds.
The Monarchs will travel to face Drew University Wednesday at 8:00 p.m.
in Madison, NJ.
