KING'S MEN DOWN FDU, CLAIMS SECOND SEED IN FREEDOM
CONFERENCE PLAYOFFS
MADISON, NJ -- Brian Horgan and Dannie Evans both
cracked the 1,000-point mark for their careers as the King's College men's
basketball team posted a 72-55 win over FDU-Florham Saturday in Madison,
NJ.
With the win, King's concluded the regular-season
with a 20-5 record and 11-3 MAC Freedom Conference mark. FDU ended its
season at 11-14 and 5-8.
The Monarchs also secured the second seed in the
Freedom Conference playoffs after Lycoming dropped a 71-62 verdict to
DeSales to fall to the third seed.
Horgan and Evans needed four and 12 points
respectively to reach the 1,000-point mark. Horgan led King's with 20
points and 10 rebounds while Evans netted exactly 12 to hit the milestone.
Dave Marks chipped in with 11 points and six rebounds while Marty O'Hora
chipped in with nine points.
King's will host Lycoming in the semi-final round of
the Freedom Conference playoffs Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Scandlon
Gymnasium.
