KING'S MEN HOLD OF SCRANTON IN SLOPPY AFFAIR
SCRANTON -- Despite one of its
sloppiest efforts of the year, the King's College men's basketball team
posted a 72-66 victory over the University of Scranton Wednesday in the
John Long Center.
With the win, the Monarchs improved to 13-3 overall and 4-1 in the MAC
Freedom Conference while Scranton fell to 2-13 and 0-4.
The game was a mistake-filled contest by both teams who combined for 54
turnovers compared to 44 total baskets. King's had 24 turnovers and
hit 23-of-63 shots, while the Royals had 30 turnovers and shot 21-of-50
for the game.
King's was led by Brian Horgan with 17 points, 10 rebounds, six steals,
and four assists. Dannie Evans followed with 13 points and four
steals. Jonathan Veet added 10 points while Britt Moore chipped in
with seven points and eight rebounds.
Scranton was led by Matt Snyder with a game-high 21 points while Patrick
Clabby and Mike McGowan added 11 and 10 points respectively.
King's will next host Drew University Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in Scandlon
Gymnasium.
