KING'S DOWNS DICKINSON TO REACH TOURNEY FINALS

WILKES-BARRE -- Host King's College opened up a 31-10 lead after midway through the first half and never looked back as the Monarchs cruised to a 69-39 victory over Dickinson in the first round of the Ramada Inn Classic Saturday in Scandlon Gym.

With the win, the Monarchs improved to 7-2 while Dickinson fell to 0-8.

Brian Horgan topped the squad with 16 points and seven rebounds while Jamar Stokes added 12 points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Britt Moore added 11 points and 10 rebounds while Dannie Evans chipped in with nine points and three steals.

Dickinson, which made just 5-of-24 field goals in each half, was paced by Nick Good with seven points, while Matt Keys and John Skvarka added five points each.

Kings will face Elmira in the championship game Sunday at 3:00 p.m. while Dickinson will face Pitt-Bradford in the 1:00 p.m. consolation.
