MONARCH MEN HANDLE DELAWARE VALLEY, 65-42

WILKES-BARRE -- Sophomore forward Britt Moore scored a career-high 21 points on eight-of-nine shooting to power the King's College men's basketball team to a 65-42 victory over Delaware Valley College Wednesday in Scandlon Gymnasium.

With the win, the Monarchs improved to 14-8 overall and 7-4 in MAC Freedom Conference action. King's is now in a three-way tie for third-place in the Freedom Conference standings with Wilkes and DeSales following the Colonels 82-72 over the Bulldogs. also on Wednesday night. Delaware Valley fell to 5-16 and 0-11.

Kasim Holloman added 13 points while Steve Hite followed with 12 points and nine rebounds. King's dominated the boards, outrebounding the Aggies 40-18. Dave Marcks aided the King's cause with eight points and five rebounds while Jonathan Veet chipped in with six makers.

King's travels to Williamsport Wednesday to face Lycoming College in a crucial Freedom Conference battle at 8:00 p.m.
