KING’S MEN’S BASKETBALL DEFEATS BAPTIST BIBLE, 97-82

CLARKS SUMMIT – Kasim Holloman scored a team-high 25 points to lead five players in double figures as the King’s College men’s basketball team posted a 97-82 victory over host Baptist Bible College Thursday in Clarks Summit.

King’s (7-3) raced out to a 54-37 half-time lead as Dannie Evans tallied 17 points while Holloman and Britt Moore added 13 and 10 points respectively over the game’s first 20 minutes. The Monarchs torched the nets, shooting 65.7 (23-35) in the first half, including 50.0 (4-8) percent from three points range.

In the second half, King’s would lead by as many as 25 points. The Defenders would trim the lead to 10 points on two occasions but would never come within single digits.

Evans finished with 18 points and four assists while Moore netted 17 points and eight rebounds. Jonathan Veet tossed in 10 points for the Monarchs while Dave Marks chipped in with 11 points and six boards.

The Monarchs will travel to Bethlehem Saturday where they will face Muhlenberg College at 6: 00 p.m. in the opening round of the Moravian College Invitational Tournament.
