KING'S ROUTES CONNECTICUT COLLEGE IN MORAVIAN TOURNEY CONSOLATION GAME

BETHLEHEM -- Jonathan Veet equaled his career high with 16 points off the bench to pace a balanced scoring attack as King's College posted a 93-55 victory over Connecticut College to capture third place in the 25th annual Greyhound/Rock Classic Sunday at Moravian College, Bethlehem.

The Monarchs opened up an overwhelming 47-18 halftime lead as King's connected on 50.0 (18-36) percent of its shots, while a tenacious defense forced the Camels into a poor (14.7 (5-34) shooting performance. Veet added four rebounds and three assists on the day for King's.

Dave Marks netted 14 points and snared 11 rebounds to earn a spot on the all-tournament team, while Marty O'Hora scored 15 points with five rebounds. Kasim Holloman followed with 11 points while Dannie Evans chipped in with nine. Britt Moore and Jamar Stokes contributed seven points each for the Monarchs who improved to 8-4.

Kevin Harrington led Connecticut with 20 points and nine rebounds as the Camels fell to 5-5.

The Monarchs will next travel to face Delaware Valley Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. in Doylestown before hosting arch-rival Scranton Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
