MONARCH MEN PICK UP 65-58 ROAD WIN AT DREW
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's basketball
team kicked off the MAC Freedom Conference schedule on a high note as the
Monarchs picked up an important 65-58 road win at Drew University Tuesday
in Madison, NJ.
With Drew leading 49-46 with 7:30 remaining in the
contest, the Monarchs went on a 12-2 run, keyed by six points from Save
Marks as King's took a 58-51 lead with 2:36 remaining.
King's was led by Dannie Evans with a team-high 14
points while Kasim Holloman added 12 points. Jonathan Veet came off the
bench to add nine points and 10 rebounds while Marty O'Hora chipped in
with six points and 10 boards. Steve Hite netted eight points and seven
rebounds while Marks contributed seven.
Mike Machin led Drew with 18 points.
King's improved to 3-1 on the year while Drew fell
to 1-3. The Monarchs return to action Thursday at 8:00 p.m. when King's
hosts Muhlenberg College in Scandlon Gymnasium.
