BANGED UP MONARCHS SURVIVE LINCOLN, 69-57
PHILADELPHIA -- The King's College men's basketball team displayed the
depth coach J.P. Andrejko anticipated his team would have as the
injury-riddled Monarchs posted a 69-57 road victory at Lincoln University.
With starters Brian Horgan and Dave Marks already sidelined with injuries,
Andrejko was joined on the bench by starting guard Dannie Evans who
suffered an ankle injury mid-way through the first half after having
scored six points for the Monarchs.
With Evans out, senior forward Kasim Holloman picked up the slack with 15
points and three steals. Marty O'Hora added 12 points on
5-of-8 shooting. Henry Shelly, Brandon Abney, and Jamar Stokes
chipped in with seven points apiece as King's improved to 2-1 on the year.
