MEN'S BASKETBALL DOWNS KEAN
80-72
UNION, NJ -- The King's College men's
basketball team utilized a balanced attack with five double-figure
scorers as the Monarchs posted a 80-72 victory over host Kean University
Wednesday in Union, NJ.
With the win, King's improved to 3-1 on the year while Kean slipped to
1-3.
Jamie Cousart, Kofi Dwebeng, and Jim Welsh led the charge with 15 points
each while Vince Scalzo and John Soboleski added 13 and 12 points
respectively.
Cousart also enjoyed an outstanding floor game with eight assists and
five rebounds while Soboleski contributed a team-high nine rebounds.
Freshman Kevin Conroy chipped in with five points and six rebounds.
King's returns to action Saturday with a 3:00 p.m. contest at
Widener University in a rematch of last season's NCAA Division III
national tournament opener won by Widener 76-63.
