KING'S BASEBALL TEAM SWEEPS MT. UNION
PORT CHARLOTTE, FL -- The
King's College baseball team posted a doubleheader sweep of Mt. Union
College Friday in Port Charlotte, Fl.
The Monarchs (4-4) won by scores of 6-4 and 9-2.
In the first game, Matt Livoy went 3-for-4, with a double, triple, RBI,
and scored three runs. Josh Faust was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Paul Giovannoli picked up the pitching win by scattering nine hits and
allowing three earned runs while striking out five batters.
In the second game, Caleb Calarco was 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs
scored, and an RBI. Jeremy Faust was 2-for-4 with two runs. Livoy was
1-for-4, including a two-run triple.
Rob Medlock picked up the complete-game victory, scattering 11 hits and
allowing two earned runs with nine strikeouts
