KING'S USES 23-HIT ATTACK TO TOP MARYWOOD IN BASEBALL ACTION

Scranton, PA - King's College used a 23-hit attack as they topped host Marywood University 17-8 in non-conference baseball action Monday afternoon in Scranton.

With the win, the Monarchs improve to 19-11 on the year, while the Pacers fall to 15-20.

Matt Livoy led several Monarchs who had a three-hit game going 3-6 at the plate with two doubles and 2 RBI. Jason Siebert also had three hits on the day, all singles. Josh Faust also enjoyed an outstanding day at the plate for King's, going 4-5 with three singles and a double. Brian Burden gave up six runs on eight hits in seven innings of work to pick up the win on the mound.

Chris Lewis went 3-5 with a double for the Pacers. Josh Smith went 2-3 with two singles and 2 RBI. Marywood returns to action Friday when they travel to Arcadia University before hosting Arcadia for a doubleheader on Saturday.

King's hosts College Misericordia Wednesday in a doubleheader slated for a 2:30 pm start at Betzler Fields.
