Jeremy Faust and Geoff Ashton would single and Bill Drazdowski walked to load the bases with two out. Seibert would deliver a two-run single to up the lead to 7-2. After a two-run single from Nick Sorino drove in Drazdowski and Seibert, Charlie Jenkins followed with a two-run home run to give the Monarchs an 11-2 lead.

Sorino topped the Monarchs with a 2-for-5 showing with two RBI and scored a pair of runs. Freshman hurler Paul Bankit picked up the complete-game pitching win, scattering 11 hits and striking out three batters.
