KING'S BASEBALL FALLS TO DELAWARE VALLEY, 12-1

WILKES-BARRE -- Visiting Delaware Valley College banged out 17 hits and benefited from six King's College errors as the Aggies posted a 12-1 victory Tuesday at Betzler Fields

With the win, Delaware Valley improved to 16-10 overall and 9-5 in the Freedom Conference while the Monarchs fell to 12-13-1 and 7-5.

King's scored its lone run in the second inning when Geoff Ashton doubled and scored on a double from Adam Tkaczyk. The Monarchs had 11 base hits but the Aggies stopped three Monarch scoring opportunities with double-plays.

Ashton and Tkaczyk led King's as both players were 3-for-4. Rob Medlock took the loss, allowing 10 runs, six earned, in five innings of work.

The Aggies were led by Mark Roth who was 4-for-6 while Justin Hoban was 3-for-5. Dave Keeler picked up the pitching victory, yielding 11 hits with three strikeouts.

King's will host Marywood Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
