KING'S AND MARYWOOD BASEBALL TIE 3-3

SCRANTON --  The King's College and Marywood University battled to a 3-3 tie in a game which was called to darkness after nine full innings of play.

With the draw, King's stands at 7-6-1, while Marywood is 9-7-1.

King's took a 1-0 first inning lead when Bill Drazdowski singled and would eventually score on an infield ground out by Geoff Ashton.

After Marywood tied the score up in the third inning, the Monarchs recaptured the lead with a run in the sixth. Josh Faust would reach base on an error and would later score on another Marywood error.

Marywood would take a 3-2 lead when the Pacers tacked on a pair of runs in the seventh.  The Monarchs would answer in the eighth when Charlie Jenkins singled and moved to third on a double by Ashton.  Josh Faust then lofted a sacrifice fly to right field to plate Jenkins with the tying run.

Brandon Kieffer pitched three scoreless innings for King's while Tim Granquist pitched the final seven, allowing all three runs, one which was earned.
