KING'S SPLITS FINAL TWO GAMES TO END SPRING TRIP AT 5-3
HOMESTEAD, FLA -- The King's College baseball team concluded its spring
trip with a split in their final two games.
They defeated Adrian College of Michigan 7-6, before falling to the U.S.
Coast Guard Academy. The Monarchs finished their Southern swing with
a 5-3 mark.
Against Adrian, Nick Sorino and Charlie Jenkins were both 2-for-4 with two
RBI. Vince Budzyn was 2-for-5 and scored two runs. Geoff Ashton was
2-for-4 while Jason Seibert was 1-for-2 and scored a pair of runs.
Paul Bankit picked up the pitching win, allowing two earned runs with five
strikeouts, while Kyle Ehlis earned the save.
In the loss to Coast Guard, Jenkins was 2-for-4 with a double and two
RBI. Bill Drazdwski, Budzyn, Sorino, and Ashton all had hits for the
Monarchs. Rob Medlock took the loss, allowing four runs, three which
were earned, in six innings while striking out seven batters.
