KING'S BASEBALL DOWNS USMMA, 12-0

HOMESTEAD, FLA -- Freshman Vince Budzyn went 5-for-5 with three doubles, four runs, and an RBI to power the King's College baseball team to a 12-0 victory over the United States Merchant Marine Academy Thursday in Ft. Pierce, Fla. 

With the win, King's improved to 3-2 on the year.

The Monarchs came up big with four runs in each of the second and fifth innings in the game as Matt Loringer tossed a complete seven inning game with a two-hitter while striking out six batters. 

Joining Budzyn offensively was Jason Seibert who went 4-for-5 with five RBI and two runs. Charlie Jenkins was 2-for-4 with an RBI double and scored two runs. Stephen Blank was 2-for-3 with an RBI and scored a pair of runs while Bill Drazdowski chipped in with an RBI double.

King's will resume play Friday against John Jay College at 9:00 a.m.
