KING'S BASEBALL DOWNS BECKER TO IMPROVE TO 2-2

WILKES-BARRE -- Bill Drazdowski's RBI double in the 10th inning proved to be the difference as the King's College baseball team posted a 5-4 victory over Becker College in Homestead, Fla.

The Monarchs were paced offensively by Jason Seibert with three hits and two runs. Dallas product Adam Tkaczyk added a double and scored two runs while Coughlin graduate Vince Budzyn added two hits. Geoff Ashton was also 1-for-2 with an RBI as the Monarchs improved to 2-2 on the year.

Monarch starter Paul Bankit pitched six and two-thirds innings while Rob Medlock pitched the 10th inning to earn the victory.

King's will next face the U.S. Merchant marine Academy on Thursday, while also playing an exhibition game against Team Ontario.
