KING'S BASEBALL DOWNS BECKER TO IMPROVE
TO 2-2
WILKES-BARRE -- Bill Drazdowski's RBI
double in the 10th inning proved to be the difference as the King's
College baseball team posted a 5-4 victory over Becker College in
Homestead, Fla.
The Monarchs were paced offensively by
Jason Seibert with three hits and two runs. Dallas product Adam Tkaczyk
added a double and scored two runs while Coughlin graduate Vince Budzyn
added two hits. Geoff Ashton was also 1-for-2 with an RBI as the Monarchs
improved to 2-2 on the year.
Monarch starter Paul Bankit pitched six
and two-thirds innings while Rob Medlock pitched the 10th inning to earn
the victory.
King's will next face the U.S. Merchant
marine Academy on Thursday, while also playing an exhibition game against
Team Ontario.
