KING'S BASEBALL FALLS TO FDU, 12-1

WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College baseball team dropped a 12-1 decision to FDU-Florham in an MAC Freedom Conference matchup Monday at Betzler Fields.

King's, which committed six errors in the game, fell to 5-7 overall and 1-3 in conference play.

The Monarchs fell behind 3-1 after four innings, yielding two unearned runs in the process. King's fell apart defensively in the sixth inning, committing three more errors which led to seven runs, four which were unearned, as the Monarchs fell behind 10-1.

King's scored its lone run in the third inning when Chris Persak walked and scored on a delayed steal. Nick Sorino led the Monarchs with two hits in the game. Charlie Jenkins added a double for King's.

The Monarchs will host Arcadia University Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Betzler Fields.
