KING'S SWIMMERS EARN
VICTORIES OVER WELLS, CAZENOVIA

AURORA, NY -- The King's College
swim teams reached the victory column for the first time this season in a
tri-meet at Wells College, Aurora, NY.
The Lady Monarch swimmers posted a 67-34 win over Cazenovia College
while securing a 65-50 win over host Wells. The King's men downed
Wells 35-23 in its lone meet of the day as Cazenovia did not field a men's
squad.
Christy Rossowski captured three individual events, finishing first in the
200-butterfly with a 2:56.63; the 100-freestyle at 1:02.47; and the
100-butterfly with a 1:11.33. Susan Hughes won the 1,000-freestyle with a
13:47.90 and the 200-backstroke at 2:45.53
Michelle Kotula captured the 100-breaststroke with a 1:23.45 and the 200
individual medley at 3:01.31. Susan Prentice won the 500-freestyle at
7:02.68
King's team of Rossowski, Hughes, Prentice, and Kim Urban captured the
women's 200-freestyle relay with a time of 2:04.32.
Andrew Kulp led the men with three individual wins, capturing the
200-freestyle with a time of 1:58.66; the 100-freestyle at 53.19; and the
500-freestyle with a 5:25.00.
Sean McGee won the
100-backstroke at 1:10.38; Mike Flynn captured the 100 breaststroke at
2:56.63; Steve Kneidl took the 50-freestyle with a 25.3; while John Wardle
won the 100-butterfly at 1:10.91.
King's team of Kulp, McGee, Nick Ponte, and Caleb Farrell captured the
200-freestyle relay with a 1:45.54.
King's will next travel to Chester to face MAC power Widener University in a
7:00 p.m. meet.
