KING'S SWIMMERS DROP PAIR TO
MISERICORDIA

WILKES-BARRE -- The College
Misericordia swim teams swept King’s, Wednesday night at the Scandlon
Gymnasium pool.
The CM women won every
event on their way to their fourth straight win, 159-54. The CM men won
141-90.
Sarah Monell won the 100
and 200 free and was part of two relay wins for the Cougars while Alaina
Trent won the 50 free and 200 back and was on the winning 400 medley relay
team. Abby Kocon won the 100 breast and 200 IM and Rachael Blass won
the 100 fly and the 400 medley relay.
Chrissy Heiser (1000 free),
Elisa Kennedy (100 back), Kati Shade (100 back), Amanda McHugh (200 breast)
and Jenny Maddaluno (500 free) were also victorious for the Cougars.
The Misericordia men were
led by four-time winner Pete Yelacic (200 free, 500 free, 200 IM, 400 medley
relay).
Andrew Kulp led the Monarchs with three wins (1000 free, 100 fly, 200 fly).
CM’s Ryan Epler (100 back,
200 back) and Will Gagliardi (100 breast, 200 breast) both won two
individual events along with the 400 medley relay. Ryan Weaver (50
free) and Matt Mill (100 free) both added wins for the Cougars.
The CM women improved to
4-1 while the men are 2-3. The King’s women fell to 0-5 while the men are
0-4.
King’s returns to action
Saturday with a 12:00 p.m. meet at Wells College.
