MISERICORDIA SWIMMERS TOP KING'S MEN AND WOMEN

WILKES-BARRE -- The host
College Misericordia men's and women's swim team each posted victories over
visiting King's College Thursday in the Anderson Center.
The Misericordia men won by a score of 105-77 while the women registered an
83-33 win.
For the King's men, Matt Herr won the 200-breast stroke with a time of
2:30.28. Herr was also second in the 200 individual medley at 2:17.21.
Sheldon Broedel was second in the 1,000-freestyle with a 13:15.09 while
finishing third in the 500-freestyle at 6:30.85.
Evan Macluskey won the 200 back stroke with a time of 2:17.55 while
finishing second in the 200 freestyle at 2:02.30.
Andrew Samoni was second in the
50-freestyle at 25.32 while also finishing second in the 100 freestyle with
a 57.66.
We Hutchins was second in the 200 butterfly with a 2:46.52. Scott Klabunde
was third in the 200 freestyle at 2:09.71 and third in the 200-back stroke
with a 2:29.26. Eric Kostuk was also third in the 50 freestyle with a time
of 25.89.
David McBride was third in the 1,000-freestyle at 13:25.42; third in the 200
individual medley with a 2:48.29; and was also third in the 200-butterfly
by posting a 2:54.60.
For the women, Amanda Liotine won the 200 back stroke with a time of
2:58.65.
Regina Schmerfeld captured the 500-freestyle at 7:01.98 and was second in
the 200 butterfly with a 2:49.59
Carly DeGrezia was second in the 100 freestyle at 1:03.11 while finishing
third in the 50 freestyle with a 28.85.
King's will host Wells College in a women's-only meet Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
