KING'S SWIMMERS FALL TO WIDENER
CHESTER -- The King's
College men's and women's swimming teams both fell to host Widener
University Tuesday in Chester.
The men lost by a 122-77 count to fall to 1-2 on the year while the women
dropped a 101-63 verdict to slip to 0-6.
For the men, Matt Herr won the
100 breast stroke with a time of 1:06.90 while Brandon Stanchock was second
with a 1:08.82. Patrick Barry won the 500 freestyle at 6:13.87 while
Alex Rae was second at 6:50.81.
King's team of Gary Morrison, Justin Kushinski, Sheldon Broedel, and Frank
Stashenko also won the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:42.30.
For the women, Leigh Jacopetti captured the 50 freestyle at 27.69 while
Ashleigh Clair was second with a time of 34.45. Carly Degrezia won the
100 freestyle at 1:05.98 while Jacopetti was second with a 1:16.74.
King's team of Clair, Jacopetti, Jen Cupp, and Kitrina Nederostek won the
200 freestyle relay with a time of 2:17.32.
