KING'S MEN'S SWIM TEAM DOWNS LEBANON VALLEY
ANNVILLE -- The King's College men's swim team opened
the season on a high note as the Monarchs defeated Lebanon Valley College
104-100 in Annville. The King's women, meanwhile fell to Lebanon Valley
76-18 and Cabrini College 47-44.
For the men, Patrick Berry won the 800 freestyle with
a 11:04.73 while finishing second in the 200 freestyle at 2:20.09 and the
400 freestyle with a time of 5:17.87.
Brandon Stanchock captured the 50 freestyle with a
26.24. Evan Maclusky won the 100 back stroke at 1:10.79 while Justin
Kucinski was second at 1:12.48. Matt Herr won the 100 breast stroke with a
1:14.96 and was third in the 100 back stroke at 1:13.14 while Drew Crousis
was second at 1:28.42.
King's team of Kucinski, Garry Morrison, Sheldon
Broedel, and Chris Morris won the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:13.41.
The Monarch team of Crousis, David McBride, Ryan Norton, and Alex Rae were
second at 2:22.16.
For the King's women, Carley Degrezia posted a win
over Cabrini in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:48.83. Sarah Futrovski
won the 200 individual medley at 2:50.81 and earned a victory against
Cabrini in the 100 back stroke with a 1:19.10. Regina Schmerfeld gained a
win over Cabrini in the 100 butterfly with a 1:21.18. Katrina Nederostek
posted a victory against Cabrini with a 1:32.22 in the 100 breast stroke.
King's returns to the pool on December 1 at home against College
Misericordia in a 7:00 p.m. matchup.
