KING'S WOMEN'S SWIM TEAM OPENS WITH LOSS TO
MANSFIELD
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College women's swim team
opened the 2004-05 season with a 119-59 loss to NCAA Division II Mansfield
University Saturday in Scandlon Gymnasium.
King's freshman Sara Futrovsky won the 200 IM with a
time of 2:34.35 and was second in the 100 back stroke at 1:11.63. Jennifer
Cupp won the 50 freestyle at 27.32.
In the 100 breast stroke, Kitrina Nederortek was first
with a 1:04.27 while Ashleigh Claire was second at 1:11.63.
Regina Schmerfeld was second in the 100 butterfly with
a time of 1:15.58 while Carly Degrezia was second in the 100 freestyle at
1:07.44.
King's men and women's swim teams will next compete at
Lebanon Valley College in a tri-match with Cabrini Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in
Annville
