KING'S MEN'S SWIMMERS DOWN ARCADIA, 91-78
(Lady Monarchs Fall To Arcadia)

GLENSIDE -- The King's College men's swimming team traveled to Glenside to face Arcadia University and walked away with a 91-78 victory.  The King's women, meanwhile, lost to Arcadia132-49.

For the Monarch men, Matt Herr captured the200 individual medley with a time of 2:21.23 and also won the 100 breast stroke at 1:06.6. Michael Sun won the 100 freestyle with a 55.7.  Chris Morris was second in the 200 free with a 2:19. David McBride was second in the 1000 freestyle with a 13:24 and was also second in the 500 freestyle at 6:30. Gary Morrison was second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:03.1. Sheldon Broedel was second in the 100 freestyle at 59.98; Brandon Stanchock was second in the 100 breast stroke with a 1:08, while Justin Kucinski was second in the 50 free at 24.4.

The Monarch team of Kucinski, Herr, Morrison, and Stanchock won the 200 medley relay with a 1:54.3, while teammates Morris, Sun, Eric Kostuk, and Ryan Norton were second at 2:02.

For the women, Ashleigh Clair won the100 breast stroke with a 1:37.  Amanda Booth was second in the 50 freestyle at 27.79 as well as in the 100 freestyle with a 1:03.6. Carly Degrezia was second in the 200 freestyle at 2:23.2 while Regina Schmerfeld was second in the 100 butterfly with a 1:18.  King's team of Clair, Kitrina Nederostek, Jennifer Cupp, and Leigh Jacopetti won the 200 freestyle relay with a 2:15.

The King's swimmers will close out the regular-season Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. home meet against FDU-Florham in Scandlon Gymnasium.  The tams will then host the MAC Championships February 11-13 at the Wilkes-Barre C.Y.C.
