KING'S MEN'S SWIMMERS FALL TO SUSQUEHANNA, DREW
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's
College men's swimming team dropped a pair of matches in a tri-meet at
Susquehanna, with Drew University.
The Monarchs lost a hard-fought 49-46 verdict to Drew, while
falling to Susquehanna 79-16. The King's women fell to two of the top
programs in the MAC, losing to Susquehanna 84-9, then Drew 76-14.
For the men, Evan Maclusky was second in the 200 backstroke (2:14.85) and
third in the 200 individuall medley (2:19.08). Brandon Stanchock was
third in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.28 while Justin Kucinski was
fourth at 25.16. David McBride was third in the 200 butterfly with a
2:52.19. Matt Herr was fourth in the 200 individual medley at
2:21.97. Sheldon Broedel was fourth in the 200 freestyle with a
2:18.00 and fifth in the 200 butterfly at 3:10.29
The Lady Monarchs were paced by Sarah Futrovsky who was third in the 200
back stroke with a time of 2:35.25 and fourth in the 200 individual medley
at 2:43.98. Amanda Booth was fourth in the 50 freestyle with a 28.38
while Leigh Jacopetti was fifth at 33.94. Carly Degrezia was fifth in the
200 freestyle at 2:33.36. Ashleigh Clair was fifth in the 200 breast stroke
with a 3:28.05 and sixth in the 200 freestyle with a 2:55.37
King's swimmers will return to the pool Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. meet at
Lycoming College in Williamsport.
