SCRANTON SWIMMERS DEFEAT KING'S
WILKES-BARRE -- The
University of Scranton men's and women's swim teams each posted victories
over King's College Wednesday in Scandlon Gymnasium.
The Royal men won 90-69 while the Lady Royals won 99-47.
Justin Kucinski won the 100 back stroke with a time of 1:06.35 while Evan
Maclusky captured the 100 freestyle with a time of 57.36 while placing
second in the 500 freestyle at 6:23.76. Matt Herr finished first in
the 100 breast stroke with a 1:07.91.
For the King's women Sara Futrovsky led the way with a pair of
victories. The Lady Monarchs freshman captured the 100 breast stroke
with a time of 1:36.98 while winning the 100 butterfly with a 1:13.43. Carly
Degrezia was second in the in the 500 freestyle with a 7:02.44 while
Amanda Booth was second in the 100 freestyle with a 1:03.82.
King's swimmers will return to action on Saturday with a tri-match at Drew
University with Susquehanna University.
