KING'S SWIMMERS SWEEP WELLS

WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College swim teams posted a sweep of Wells
College Saturday in Scandlon Gymnasium.
The men won by a score of 154-28 while the Lady Monarchs squeaked out a
119-118 victory.
For the men, Nick Ponte won the 200 butterfly at 2:38.19, along with the 100
butterfly at 1:05.76. Brian Seslar captured the 100 freestyle with a 55:49,
the 200 freestyle at 2:06.84, and the 500 freestyle at 5:53.90.
Eric Stencovage won the 200 breaststroke at 2:39.32, the 200 individual
medley with a 2:22.39, and also the 50 freestyle at 24.05. Ron Argus won the
100 backstroke with a 1:07.84 while Patrick Seslar captured the 100
breaststroke at 1:15.21.
Maggie Nealer won the 1,000-freestyle with a time of 12:48.56 and also
captured the 50 freestyle at 28.12. She also won the 500 freestyle with a
6:13.56.
Sara Schmader captured the 100 backstroke with an MAC qualifying time of
1:10.29 and also claimed the 200 backstroke with another MAC qualifying time
of 2:33.87. She also won the 200 individual medley at 2:33.61.
Susan Hughes won the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:52.88. Jessica Thomas
was victorious in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:22.77. Rebecca Smith
also won the 100 freestyle at 1:03.73.
