MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY 10TH AT DESALES INVITATIONAL

CENTER VALLEY -- The King's College men's cross country team finished 10th out of 22 teams at the DeSales Invitational Saturday in Center Valley.

In the men's 8K race, Ed Kopec topped the Monarchs by finishing 36th out of a field of 192 runners with a time of 28:22.  Justin Winters was 50th at 28:44; Derek Call finished 78th at 29:37; Matt Washo ran 116th with a time of 31:07; Vince Pecora was 145th at 33:22; David Davis checked in at 146th at 33:23; while David Krupski was 165th at 35:38

The King's women's team was unable to score team points as injuries left the squad with just four runner able to compete.  Kelley Weidwald was 27th among the field of 214 runners with a time of 25:45 in the 6K race.  Maria DeMuro followed in 76th place with a 27:14. Alison Taroli was 122nd at 28:53 while Kate Musto finished 127th with a time of 29:01.

King's will next compete in the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships at DeSales on October 28.
