KING'S RUNNERS AT PAUL SHORE INVITATIONAL
BETHLEHEM -- Ed Kopec finished 67th in a field of
171 runners to pace the King's College men's cross country at the Paul
Shore Invitational Friday at Lehigh University. The Monarch men finished
20th among 26 teams in the College Division.
Kopec posted a time of 27:30 in the 8K race as the Monarchs competed in
their first competition since September 9. Justin Winters was 100th with
a time of 28:13 while Matt Hall finished 109th at 28:28. Derek Call was
137th at 29:30 while Vincent Pecora checked in at 166th with a 33:06.
Dave Krupski rounded out the Monarch men by finishing 171st with a
36.31.
Due to injuries, the Lady Monarchs were only able to enter four runners
and did not meet the mandatory five-runner minimum to score as a team.
Kelley Weidwald was the top Lady Monarch, finishing 69th with a 24:34 in
the field of 172 runners. Maria DeMuro finished 106th with a time of
25:23. Julie Dural was 163rd at 28:16 while Kate Musto rounded out the
women's team by finishing 165th at 28:42.
King's will next compete on October 7 at the Gwynedd-Mercy College
Invitational.
