WILKES-BARRE -- The King’s College Cross Country Team is having a Memorial Race in Kirby Park on Sunday June 3, 2007 for a former Cross Country runner, Parker Palermo.  He passed away suddenly on September 11, 2006.  Proceeds are benefiting 4 Paws Spay & Neuter Program in Wilkes-Barre.

Parker was from Spencerport, New York and a 2003 graduate of King’s College.  He participated in Cross Country for three seasons at King’s. Parker was an avid runner.  He completed his first marathon, the Reckson Long Island Marathon May 7, 2006.  Parker worked at the Plains Animal Hospital as a Vet-Tech, with hopes of going to Veterinary School.
