KING'S MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY 4th AT LVC TOURNEY
ANNVILLE -- The King's College men's cross country team opened its
season with a strong fourth-place showing at the Lebanon Valley
Invitational Saturday in Annville.
King's totaled 120 team points and trailed just men's titlist Frostburg
(44), runner-up Roanoke (57) and third-place Lebanon Valley (103). In a
field of 164 male runners, Ed Kopec led King's with a fifth-place time
of 27:35. Patrick Lyons was 16th at 28:21.05, while Justin Winters was
24th with a 28:46.59. Matt Hall finished 36th overall with a 29:21.41
while Derek Call was 51st at 30:08.21. Matt Washo was 58th with a time
of 30:31.17 while Andrew Capalong finished 75th at 31:27.85.
Other King's runners included David Krupski who was 102nd at 32:49.51;
Vince Pecora who finished 106th with a 32:57.65; and David Davis who
rounded out the Monarch runners at 118th place with a time of 34:28.00.
On the women's side, King's was led by freshman Kelley Wiedwald who was
12th with a time of 21:15.43 in the field of 143 runners. Maria DeMuro
was 46th at 22:49.96.
