CHUCK DONOFRIO LEADS MONARCHS IN DESALES CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL

CENTER VALLEY – Chuck Donofrio finished third overall out of 199 competitors in the 8,000 meter event leading the King’s College men to 12^th place overall in the DeSales Invitational Saturday in Center Valley.

Donofrio finished at a team high time of 26:51.  Ed Kopec followed in 51^st place with a time of 28:53.  Justin Winter (77^th) and Patrick Lyons (86^th) finished in the top 100 with times of 28:23 and 29:03 respectively.  Other King’s runners include Derek Call (30:21), Matt Washo (30:55) and David Davis (33:30).

In the women’s 6,000 meter race with 191 competitors, Maria DeMuro paced all King’s runners finishing in 55^th place with a time of 26:29.  Other King’s runners include Mary Beth Clark (29:52), Allison Taroli (30:01), and Jessica Schillawiski (33:04).

King’s will compete next at the East Stroudsburg Invitational on October 23^rd in East Stroudsburg , PA.
