ZALENSKI, DINOFRIO LEAD KING'S AT MAC CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

GRANTHAM --  Senior Tracy Zalenski and freshman Chuck Dinofrio paced the King's College cross Country teams at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships Saturday at Messiah College, Grantham.
   
The King's women finished in 11th place in the 12-team field with 302 points. Zalenski paved the way for the Lady Monarchs by finishing in 27th place in the 115-runner field with a 21:12.80.  Mary Blair Long followed in 56th place at 22:36.20 while Mary Beth Clark was 72nd at 24:24.70.  Michelle Dougherty finished 77th with a 25:50.50; Holly Parshall was 78th at 26:00.10; while Martha Bravo-Cullen finished 79th at 27:57.10.
   
King's men, meanwhile were 10th in the 12-team field with a score of 293. Dinofrio concluded an outstanding rookie year by finishing 17th in the 116-runner field with a 27:57.40. The Monarch freshman was also presented with second-team MAC honors.
  
Fellow freshman Simon Buckland followed in 57th place with a 30:09.10. while Jeremy Ackerman finished 72nd at 32:13.10.  Parker Palermo was 73rd at 33:17.00; James Britt finished 74th with a 33:25.40; while James Saur was 78th at 34:27.00.
