Ambassador Constitution
Purpose:
The King's College Monarch Ambassadors are an integral part of
the Admissions Office. The primary function of the Monarch Ambassador
is to provide campus tours to prospective students and their families.
In this capacity, they will play a critical part in the visit
of a prospective student, not only showing campus facilities,
by sharing his/her experiences while serving as a representative
of the King's student body. A Monarch Ambassador is expected to
represent the best of King's College students, portray a positive
attitude, show enthusiasm for their college, and make prospective
students feel comfortable during their visits.
Responsibilities:
Section 1: The Monarch Ambassadors will be trained and
must be able to show the campus in a positive and informative
way, giving students/guests a good sense of what life is like
at King's.
Section
2: Responsibilities shall include providing campus tours to
visitors of the campus, including prospective students and their
families, accompanying visitors to lunch, escorting prospective
students to classes, assisting with special visitation programs,
and participating in functions that will help support the Monarch
Ambassador Program.
Membership:
Section 1: Membership is open to all students of the college
who have the qualities and enthusiasm to become a Monarch Ambassador
Section 2: Applicants must:
1.
Complete an application
2. Have a minimum GPA of 2.0
3. Complete the interview process, demonstrating qualities of
professionalism, dependability, enthusiasm, and personality
Section
3: Once a member, a student will go through extensive training
to ensure they possess the knowledge and tools to provide campus
tours
Members are required to:
1.
Attend monthly meetings
2. Give a minimum of 3 tours per month
3. Participate in any special visitation programs
4. To find their own replacement tour guide if they can not
make their scheduled tour
5. Participate on occasional weekends
Section
4: Revocation of Membership
Membership may be revoked under the following conditions:
1.
Any member who misses 2 meetings in one semester, without a
proper excuse, will be subject to dismissal
2. Any member, who does not show up or does not find a replacement
for their scheduled tour 3 times during a semester, will be
subject to dismissal
3. Any member, who is not showing the campus in a positive and
informative way, may also be subject to dismissal
***In
the event any of the above occurs, a probationary period will
begin including warnings and possible dismissal.
