Specialties:

Laboratory Director of the Biology Department for 25 years.

Responsible for all ordering, budget accounting, laboratory preparation, equipment and Life Science Building maintenance and repair, coordinating Biology course scheduling, seminars, career planning, supervising department assistant, laboratory support technician, and student aids.

Member for 20 years of the Wilkes-Barre Center City Blood Council, a volunteer committee representing downtown businesses, organizations and schools, assisting the American Red Cross Blood Program.

Vice-Chairperson of the Council for 8 years, Chairperson 4 years.

Publisher and editor of "The Biology Messenger" the Biology Department Newsletter.

 

Professional Societies:

Member, since 2004, National Association of Scientific Materials Managers, a professional organization comprised of over 300 Laboratory-associated members.

 

Awards and Honors:

Recipient of the Christi Regis Award for 20 years of service to King’s College.

Special Citation issued from National Headquarters of the American Red Cross for Exceptional Volunteer Service, 2005.

Instrumental in leading King’s College to victory over area institutions in a Leadership Wilkes-Barre College/University Blood Drive Competition, April, 2008.

One of three nominees for 2008 for the King’s College All College Award, Administrator’s category.
