KING'S VOLLEYBALL HANDLES ST. ELIZABETH, 3-0
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's women's volleyball team
improved to 8-2 on the year with a 3-0
victory over visiting College of St. Elizabeth Friday night in
Scandlon Gymnasium.
King's won by scores of 25-6, 25-8, 30-10 while dropping St.
Elizabeth to 2-2. The match started just over an hour late as the
Eagle team bus was caught in a traffic jam on Interstate 80 coming
form New Jersey.
Kat Clerici had nine kills and one solo block to pace King's.
Colleen McEntee added five kills while Katie Doss followed with 14
service points and two kills. Emily Kline contributed three kills
while Kelly Greenway distributed 20 assists. Nadya Alboschy and
Katie Kinsman registered four digs. Tanya Rabenold chipped in
with four kills, two aces and eight service points.
The Lady Monarchs will have little time
to rest as the team travels to Hackettstown, NJ on Saturday to face
Centenary College at 11:00 a.m.
